Sachintha Gurudeniya
.NET Professional. Traveler. Photographer.
ABOUT ME
I do a lot of coding; at work and off of it, simply because I love it, and I'm passionate about it. Granted, sometimes a program not working the way you want it to can drive you up the wall, but when you finally get it working, the thrill more than makes up for it. I've worked in Japan as a Software Engineer for 7 years, mostly on the .NET framework. I'm pretty good at C#, and I've fallen in love with the WPF + MVVM pattern.

Other than that, there's a whole bunch of other things that I love, including but not limited to;
  • Travel. I've been to a few places, and I can rest easily when I finally go to Antarctica.
  • Photography. It's my other biggest passion. Be sure to check out my photography website, SACH.PHOTOGRAPHY .
  • Reading. It's one of those childhood habits that never left me, which I'm glad for, and have my mom to thank for it. Check out my Goodreads Profile .
  • Evolutionary Biology. In my opinion the theory of evolution is the single greatest idea a person has ever had in the history of humankind.
  • Sports: Cricket, Rugby, and Tennis.
  • Cooking. When I moved to Japan, all I knew how to cook was an omelette. I've righted that wrong, and started enjoying it . I make a mean creamy pasta and a killer chicken curry, pure Sri Lankan style.
  • Wine. I'm not a snob, and I wouldn't know what's what if I did a blindfolded wine tasting, but I do love trying out different kinds.
  • Legos. Yes, I'm not embarrassed to admit to it.
